Food Packaging And Renting Church Space

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I have an idea to sell packaged dry shrimp to stores, however I do not have the appropriate kitchen space at home. Is it legal to rent kitchen space from a local Church? Would they be liable of anything? Also, is it legal to put a PO Box on a label of food if I do not want to use the Church address? And lastly, I already have an incorporation for my company name selling beauty products, would I have to do get a different inc for packaging food?

Time to "lawyer-up". Check with the church's legal counsel also. Regardless of liability, they're in the business of sharing the Good News and anything that could detract from that probably isn't a good idea.

As far as your name is concerned it doesn't matter what you're selling. You really need to register a dba with the county, tho.
