    Hi jcmedinave,

Vevolution is right, it does sound like you need to look at the Know-How Exchange business model!.

It looks like you already have the layout, you know the categories, have a subscriber base, if you look at how this community has evolved and grown, you will find it to be a valuable roadmap.

Look also at the SNAPs like Ryze, LinkedIn Ecademy etc. for how to grow the network.

Once it get it going it will take on its own life.

    I hope that helps.

I think one of the most important topics to discuss with regards to International business groups is Understanding Different Cultures.

Even though Latin-Americans share similar languages and ancestry, it is vital to understand the cultural, social and political nature of other peoples. This holds true for anyone really. Basic/general business strategies and topics may be lateral, but approach is much different.

My wife is Latin (Spanish/Mexican) and 90% my in-laws are from Either Mexico or Spain. We all understand business in general, but clash when it comes to how to treat employees, how aggressive to be with suppliers/contacts, how to treat women, etc.

Another good example is dealing with Asian businessmen. They are VERY formal in introductions and titles. I have a contact in Vietnam and it took over 2 months before it was proper for me to address him by his first name and not "Mr. X, Title, ". In addition, I had to make sure a man was the one handling all correspondance. The only time a woman would be taken half seriously is if she was introduced as a senior assistant.

In short, INternational business and cultural education is an excellent topic.

There are also health issues (Diabetes and heart disease is genetically rampant in the Latin community), immigration laws, views on illegal workers and those who exploit them, adn the every speading use of Spanish in the US. Funny how a lot of Americans expect everyone else to learn 2 languages but refuse to learn anything but English (if they even know how to use English...LOL).

All of these issues could help your group devise ways to break down some walls and misunderstanding as well as strengthen the future of your heritage.

    Good Luck!
