Repositioning To Start Over

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I have a consulting business. I went full-time a year ago. I specialized in career planning for minorities. I used contacts with employee groups in large corporations. I had performed free mini-workshops and distributed an e-newsletter to gain exposure and build business.

As business got worse, funding dried up to these groups. To my surprise goup members were not prepared to spend their own money on planning or coaching services though they continued to claim these services were needed and a high priority to them.

Currently, planning/coaching services are only 25% of the business. Now, I also perform process improvement (performance improvement), project management (I'm certified PMP) and training services.

I am using (for fee) mini-workshops at adult schools in the area with an e-newsletter to rebuild my customer base. My plan is to use letters and e-newsletter to market services generate consulting business from small to medium-sized local companies.

Any advice?
