I suggest that you keep the word devotional in the name. You will have a hard time establishing a readership as is. You want to make sure people can find you and tell their friends about you...

    I suggest some names like
    Devotions of Love
    Devotions on Gods Love
    AgapeDevotion
    etc.

    Sammie,

The name Loveotionals is not really straight forward and easy to figure out. For a blog, however, the name is not very important to the traffic - it's how interesting the content is and how frequent it changes that matters. Look at one the very most successful blogs - Boing Boing. They are making over $1,000,000 per year with this blog.

To get readership, register your blog with the major search engines. Provide links to other blogs that you think are interesting, worthwhile, and related, and most of all, write A LOT of interesting things. Search engines poll for differences and will alert interested people so they will go visit.

    I hope this helps.

I agree with all of you.
Would it be fine if i name it "colorful shadows".???
    Need Your Suggestions here, please!!!
I understand, what matters is "content". The motive is that, "atleast one of them in this ocean of people must have had his thirst for love quenched and hunger for enduring joy granted. At least one of the reader must have been motivated, got hope, felt joy.
So what really matters is content. As puru gupta said, it is a good point to note that, the content should be short and sweet. And it must be remarkable from the other 'n' number of blogs there, as mnelson said. And about retaining the words "Devotional" as Frank Hurtte said, i have planned to include it. I am grateful to all of you, for your valuable comments.

    Hi Sammie,

THE NAME DOESN'T MATTER BUT IT DOES...
technically the name does not matter but technically it does. Being spiritually technical is where it really matters. If who we are externally is only a reflection of our spiritual anatomy then it does matter.

FOR EXAMPLE TAKE WHAT KING SOLOMON SAID...
if names did not matter then why through inspiration from G_d did King Solomon the wisest and richest man who ever lived utter these words of fire about names in the Hebrew Bible:

    Proverbs 22:1
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

    Ecclesiastes 7:1(A)
A good name is better than precious ointment

Now if you're creating a devotional blog you need to create one with a name that does matter. Why do great companies like Proctor & Gamble spend long hours and crazy amounts of money to launch a product with the right name?...duh...because it matters and somebody in their camp has probably read what King Solomon said and applied the principle to see that Solomon spoke both truth and wisdom.

GO AHEAD AND DO WHAT YOU WANT...
but if I were doing something devoted to G_d for G_d I wouldn't avoid listening to the greatest King of all times. Well that's my take on it but you can do what you want to do. As a matter of fact don't believe a word I'm saying research it yourself both ways...

BUT I'D DO THE RESEARCH FIRST, I WOULDN'T BELIEVE DEREMIAH FOR NOTHING...
So here's what you do research among the most elite corporations in the world and see if a name really does matter then research it in the bible and see if a name really matters and post the results right here on Marketingprofs where we all can see and learn from it. I trust marketers understand the power of a great name. At least the book of Proverbs says that we can search out G-dly wisdom even in the marketplaces. So I'm sure G_d wouldn't lie about where we can find wise answers to our business problems. Do you think he'd lie?

Yes I too know that content is important but while you're pulling em to your blog why waste time when you could brand them with a powerful name. Remember our only real problem in life is our failure to be "MORE Creative" than we’ve ever been. If you “Invent” your opportunity YOU WILL most definitely create your future. I'm only an email away from you if you need my help. Is there anything else I can do for you?

    Hi Sammie,

The name colourful shadow won’t be nice for your blog site. Think carefully what public is look-in for? Mind, Body and soul” – how can we mix every thing with music, pictures, songs which will make them to think beyond limit? I am not aware which religion you going to follow. It is not people follow only the words but they see the effect on their soul.

Have you visited any devotional website? Please do so. What do you feel at first site? Then you can register with other religious website and so on…

    Try this website:

    I hope this will help!

    Regards,

    M Bhor
