From looking at your profile, it seems to me you have been asking similar questions of us for quite a while. I hope our advice so far has been helpful.

If you have been successful generating leads, I agree that you should hire someone to cultivate opportunities, but I would add that you should hire someone who knows what they are doing.

Your pipeline of future business is a valuable asset, and you should hire an experienced expert who knows how to assess it, manage it, and grow it. This person will be the primary contact your prospects will have with your company - it makes sense to make a good first impression. You should hire an excellent communicator who knows the culture of buyers, who understands their buying cycle, and who knows how to recognize opportunities.

In my opinion, a hiring a trainee and giving them a script simply won't cut it - no matter how many questions you ask, how many business books you read, or how many web sites on selling you visit.

The "long term nurturing" of pipelines of business has been my speciality for many years. As per my previous post, feel free to contact me directly to discuss further - no charge.

    ditto, hire a pro!

Spend what you have to, to get someone with some experience in that position. Identify your competitors, see whast they are doing perhaps even engage a recruiting firm to bring some of their best sales people in for interviews. (You don't have to hire them to get some insight from them, but you might like them enuf to make an offer...)

www.gitomer.com is a great sales idea site.

good luck - see my profile to email me
