Marketing Profs Colleagues:

We have a new international client that designs and manufactures quality ladies clothing.

Our need is to know who among you has solid contacts, with buyers in the retail clothing arena. This would mean stores from Macy's to smaller retail mid to high-end boutique stores or chains, either in the US, Canada, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Pacific Rim.

If you have these contacts, or in this industry, please contact me, via my eMail, which can be obtained by clicking on W.M.M.A. above. In your email, please provide us with a number and eMail where you can be reached.

If you are "in" this industry, there may be exclusive territorial opportunities, as well. However, the primary purpose of the post is to obtain, and/or be guided to obtain the requested information.

Additionally-
A few of our charges are to:
Create global retail sales opportunities

Open doors to launch

This line of clothing is fashionable in design, unique in construction and material. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. I will be pleased to share additional information with those who contact me.

Randall-- I do not have personal contacts in this industry. (My manufacturer rep agency specializes in building products.)

However, the Denver Merchandise Mart is a building full of manufacturer rep showrooms with apparel lines. I am sure the mart would help you locate a rep. Reps like to share, and they can network you to names of people with the contacts you want. https://www.denvermart.com

It is helpful to identify a similar clothing line that would compliment and not compete with your line-- and identify their rep. For example, you don't just want a rep who knows "a" Macy's buyer. You want (for example) a rep who knows the sportswear buyer. And knows that area inside and out.

    Hope that helps, Carol

I used to have a client who supplied fiber for apparel end-uses, and I had a number of contacts, but it's been a few years, and the turnover -- as you know -- is outrageous. The good ones get promoted and the not-so-good ones keep changing companies. Not sure who is still in place!

I do, however, have a very good contact with a hot retail store in a major market who might be worth talking to. She will tell you who the shakers and movers are, which shows are worth attending, etc.

I'll contact you via private email.
