Selling My Boutiques & Website ?

I have a very popluar retail store named Ella Belles. I have established a unique customer by creating a "woman" that everyone wants to be. My life is changing drastically and want to sell my brand and concept to someone / compnay that can take Ella Belles to the next level, ie. label clothing line, accessories, etc. I am fully protected by trademarks, etc. Problem is I don't know where to start. It's like i am paralyzed. Thought of Wall Street Journal, business broker, but don't know what to present in portfolio, etc. www.ellabelles.com

    You're in the right direction. A business broker or M & A (mergers and acquisition) company is the place to get help.

    You should also think about trying to find some interested buyers yourself. You probably know the industry better than any broker. Do you know other people in other geographies that might be interested in expanding? What about similaror complimentary companies?

    Once you have an interested party, a business lawyer can make sure the sale goes through without any problems.

    very shoortly:
    You should moove in two directions:
    - make a summary of all the aspects of your business, the trends, the costumers, the management policy, the company organization. you shoul be able to explain in short time what are you offering, wich are the advantages, the way to do this business, why you do this business etc.
    When you have organized all this informations, you'll be able to explain to all kind of possible buyers, the information that they needs.

    - Think who is the Buyer that you want for your company. Is another fashon company? is a single person who share this passion with you? is the first person who want the company?
    When you "target" your kind of costumer, you made a first step. the second is reach his attention. which kind of media is preferible to transmit your offer to the target?

    I always think that is preferible create a direct contatct with the possible buyers of a company. make an announcment on some media is like to say "I sell to the first who response".
    but if it's the only way possible you can make in that way.
    but first try to find personally, or whit the aid of some "manager" the person that you want like new owner of "ella belles".
