Need Help Marketing Debt Relief By Telephone!!!

I am working on building a calling campaign to market Debt Relief by telephone. I have a script but need assistance as I am losing people in the first ten seconds, which means my script opening is not Good. Please review this script opening and help with any idea, openers, adjustments or just any help!


Hello Mrs. Jones? _______ this is ________,and I'm calling on behalf of the Oklahoma Debt Relief Program….. - - - I know your busy so I’ll just take a moment of your time OK!!!

Now Mr(s)________ you’ve been pre-selected for our NEW DEBT RELEIF program in OKLAHOMA, It’s designed to help good people like yourself that have acquired some recent Credit Card Debt…. What it will do is help reduce your debt by negotiating with your creditors on your behalf. We can often eliminate thousands of dollars of credit card debt, reduce your monthly payments, reduce your interest rate and help you pay off your DEBT MUCH QUICKER. I just need to ask you a few brief questions to see if you qualify for this special program…. You are still on _______ street right?

    here are a couple of pointers...
    1) Market = Sales = I don't want any....

    2) There is no room for engaginig the client until you are pretty much done with a long spew...

    Here might be a better approach..

    This kind of cold calling expect a high rejection rate. These people hear this stuff on the radio, etc, and they think scam. I would put something immediately in your first few seconds to counter that.

    Is the list prequalified in that you know these people do have credit card debt? I don't have credit card debt and have gotton calls like this-- the marketer won't pause for a breath much less me sharing I have no need for this service.

    As the others above have stated - the type of intro you propose rarely works. Presuming you have a prescreened list, I'd suggest a very straight forward approach which will get you through a lot of calls fast and avoid wasting the time of your callers and the people called who don't want what you are selling.

    This is "Name" with/representing the Oklahoma Debt Relief Program.
    I offer assistance in negotiating your debt obligations with your creditors that will help reduce your debt with your creditor and help you pay off your debt much quicker. Is this something you want?

    If they say no - just say "Thank you" and move on to the next call. This will help increase the productivity of your calls and avoid any further irritation of your targets.

    Ouch!

    Never say you're pre-selected. I know you're in a call center and it's difficult to get telemarketers to sound sincere, but someone is paying a lot for nothing (no results) here.

    Hello my name is (first name) with (never say on behalf of) ___. May I speak with Mr/Ms Jones.

    Mr/Ms Jones _____ negotiates with credit card companies to reduce the a card holders total balance. FORTUNATELY, privacy laws prevent us from knowing too much about anyone. So I'm calling today to ask if you could benefit from cutting your balances in half (if you can say that).

    You'll get a yes or no quickly an then, move on. Don't ask any questions until you get the yes.

    People don't talk about "debt relief" - businesses do. People care about "owing too much", "struggling to make the payments", or "worrying about paying the bills". Use the language your prospects use to begin the conversation.
