Annual Conference - Booth Exhibit

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We will be attending a healthcare industy annual convention in Las Vegas, NV (clever location if you ask me).
I wanted to kick it up a notch and have our booth panels reprinted w a theme approach and wanted to get advice and/or direction on where I'm going w my creative.

We defend hospitals' revenue cycle and wanted to have us 3 gals who will work the booth to dress up in football jerseys w the company logo. In addition, I want to have our booth center panels to have an offense and defense in position and a large header that reads: we're on the line of defense for your revenue cycle. I will have football mini football promos to give away w a catch phrase etc. along w our brochure available.
I know us dressed up like this and at the same time attract (hopefully) lots of people will enable me to fish out those appropriate folks (i.e. CFOs, Office Managers of hospitals....mostly that which are men) and begin a meaninful dialouge of our company and services on a fun note.

Am I missing anything?

Be sure that there is enough about how this applies to health care so even people who are not football enthusiasts will be attracted.

There are very important other attributes:
    1. where your booth is located. If you are in a back corner, your big plans won't help. Negotiate for a better spot if necessary.
    2. Invite prospects to stop at the booth: letters or postcards ahead of time, doorknob hangers at the major hotel(s), announcements in the daily newsletter.
    3. Let visitors know about the advantage of stopping by. Perhaps an offer of a free white paper or discount on the first month of service,

Consider a bank vault filled with (fake) money. Or police officers patrolling the hospital's piggy bank. Etc.

I agree with Bill - make the image on-point, professional, and immediately recognizable.

Thanks to all that responded to this question. Those that would dress up in Jerseys are the product experts and that apparel would be intruiging and more inviting.

The backdrop of the booth would be the offense and defense in position, head-to-head. I think the theme would work and prior to the event I do consider to send out invitations, etc.

    Thoughts?
