I think you walk in with a pie and ask to speak to the manager. Gotta walk before you can run.

Thing is, you might be required to do your baking in a certified-safe commercial kitchen.

Try the local farmers markets first. You can do pretty well because they're looking for homemade and local stuff.

I know this sounds crazy but church...Go to church....

Talk to the preacher/pastor/whatever and explain that you are trying to sell pies. Many churches have an announcement section of their programs and you can put yourself on there giving a short bit about your pies. They most likely won't mind. Not to mention you may be able to talk them into buying the pies from you whenever they have a luncheon or a meeting or anything social where food is served.

Plus its a social environment waiting to be explored, once one person likes your pies, they will tell their friends about it as well. Next thing you know you have a network of customers...
