Does Anyone Have Software For Organizing Ideas?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I have dozens of ideas a day, but I rarely have the time or budget to act on them immediately. However, some days (like today) I have two hours with nothing scheduled, my tasks for the day are done and I wanted to do some planning and brainstorming.

I have an "Idea" folder in Outlook where I save links and emails, but sending myself an email whenever I come up with an idea isn't always practical. Does anyone have a system they use or software they've discovered that helps people organize their crazy schemes?

Thanks Mike and Denise. I'll check out those links. I tend to use delicious for clipping from websites, but maybe I'll try google notebook for some variety. I switched from IE to Firefox two years ago for variety and I've never gone back.

Has anyone seen systems that organize by tag clouds like delicious? I'm such a text person.

    Try Mindjet Mindmanager Pro (https://www.mindjet.com/uk/)

    Most fantastic tool for brainstorming!

You can also copy the maps into PowerPoint if you would like to use them in a presentation later.

    Love it!

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to go with MindManager. I did the tutorial this morning and it's exactly what I was looking for. I also love that it integrates with Office.

    Appreciate all the help!
