It And Corporate Communications

Hi, I've been asked to put together some ideas on exploiting IT and new technologies to improve business & corporate communications. Basically the company has gone through an acquisition and the new 'masters' are keen to be seen to be promoting the new 'vision' both to internal staff and internal/external stakeholders. I know little about what they currently use but what I'm really after is some references/pointers as to how Intranet/Extranet, Video Streaming/Webcasting etc can be used/has been used to promote internally and externally. Any other technologies/tools would be helpful. Please note 'whacky/innovative' is good.

    You need to look into conferencing technology then. You can use the same technology for your internal meetings and external webinars.

    video blogging done by high level company leaders is cool. I also like voice over presentations like those done with camtasia and other products. I love it when people put mainstream snippets into their own internally used presentations - think movie clips with an alternative message.

    The Use of Video or short videos just like those used in advertising on social networking sites would also be cool to convey messages to the company illustratively rather than just text
