You need to just work on marketing the concept a little better. Try re-writing it so that it makes sense to everyone.

Thank You for your respectable answer, very much appreciated. At this point we have successfully identified
a duable application allowing the ability for homeowners to interact with their floor plans. Just as you stated, it did take some extremely talented programmers to jump this hurdle.

Practicing within the commercial building industry for 22 years as a construction manager I clearly see your point
-not so good. One could never completely eliminate the various problems associated with home improvement. However, it is our intent through educational, administrative, management and technical support that 92% of problems can and will be prevented with proper guidelines established and adhered to by our contractor base. The remaining 8% we will step in to resolve any unforeseen issues that are inevitable. Our priority is the homeowner.

Contractor referral service providers in the past have
excluded themselves from any liability after homeowner has selected a contractor. And for good reason. Today they are attempting to extend their support in assisting the homeowner in very suttle ways.

This is where we step in to bridge the gap so that homeowners are not left vunerable to the process.

No referral fee from contractor's. However, a fee for portal access to verified leads that are posted and advertising fees for business listing.

Homeowners pay a lifetime membership registration fee.
Homeowners pay as an option to have their interactive floorplans online.

Your suggestion may be correct regarding the revenue model. However, we have conducted multiple focus groups that havge indicated that consumers would be willing to pay a on-time fee for a lifetime of project assistance and support. (assurance) The true objective is not to profit from the homeowner but to encourage them to go through the service process for protection.

Absolutely true! I'd like to share some marketing strategies for your opinion.

    1. Realtors refer and market our services to buyers and sellers of their listings. They make first contact with our end user.

    2. Home Equity lenders refer / market our services to homeowners closing on home improvement loans.

    3. Insurance adjusters refer / market our services to homeowners as they make claims.

    4. We will also be web affiliated with contractor referral service providers.

I believe that any concept is marketable. It just takes the advertisement to send the message. If it is clear and direct and it is something the consumer is looking for, it will sell. Once it is up and running, don't forget that you will need to collect credit card payments. That can be done by opening a merchant account at ImGlobal Solutions - www.imglobalsolutions.com. They provide competitive rates and an awared service. Good luck with your concept!
