Hi experts

We have just started a blog(www.coupleshop.blogspot.com) selling couple tee and basically i need your help to advise on the following

1. Feedbacks on whether the blog is attractive? If not what are the areas that we can improve in?

2. How can we get more visitors to our blog?

3. We are also looking for distributors around the world but we do not know how to go about it. Is there any website that we can post an ads?

4. Is our products attractive? Is it price reasonable?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts

    1. Your blog needs some work. I'd suggest that instead of showing the packaging and the t-shirts flat on a white background, show them being warn by an attractive couple that are having fun. Since the site is for selling, make it obvious. A strong banner, clear pricing (don't ask people to email you an order - create an online order form, or as as a minimum, use Paypal to handle the order processing for you), clear return policy, etc. I wouldn't expect a business to have a url for a blogspot. Invest $50-$60/year to get a domain name + hosting for your business. Also, put the images on your own site, don't use photobucket to display them.

    2. You have some statistics (StatCounter), but I'd use an analytics program to give you more information, not just counts. Where did visitors come from? What were they searching on? To get better ranking organically, you'll need links to your site from other high-ranking sites. List your site with various directory sites. Also, consider posting responses to couple-related blogs adding real value, but also a link to your site.

    3. Here's one online resource for distributors: https://www.tradekey.com/kb-t-shirt/ Also, consider putting your images on self-publishing sites such as https://www.cafepress.com/
Let them handle everything - you don't have to even print the shirts!

    4. As for price, I don't have a clue what it costs in local $ (I'm in the United States), so I can't comment.

I'm not sure a blog is the best way to promote your products. A blog is better suited for "personal" message from you to your customers, and an excellent supplement to an eCommerce website, which leads me to my next point...

You might want to consider a "conventional" website instead, which would be a better way to present your products, as it would allow users to browse your catalog more efficiently (by t-colour, theme, size etc.). Presenting navigation like this via a blog isn't impossible, but for the effort it would take, you're better off creating a website.

As for increasing visitors, it takes time. Use the ideas Jay mentions above, but understand that blogging is a dialogue between you and your readers. The content of your blog has to interest/engage them. Also participate in other forums, leave comments on other blogs, etc - in other words, become part of the "community".

Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Not wishing to sound unkind, but the cold hard facts are:

    1. The blog is a very unattractive webshop. This is your sales window for the world to find you. It's never going to happen this way. Get a proper website.

    2. Nobody can see the designs properly. Photograph them well, using attractive models, and provide a clickable zoom-in option so people can read the logo and the text.

    3. Provide a secure payment transaction system. No-one e-mails credit card details - it's just not safe.

    4. Show a wider range of colours for the tees. All black looks dull.

    5. The logo in tee set 2 - the characters look very miserable. Not a happy look... what's the idea with that?

    6. I don't undertand the whole proposition. Do couples buy matching tees? I don't know any that do. If not, how are you going to promote that idea?

    Hope that helps.

Your site is a perfect example of what not to do. As already mentioned, a blog is not the correct medium for selling products. The fundamental layout and design does not accommodate the sale of products. You'd do better off getting a Yahoo store or plugging your tee shirts on eBay, or sites of this nature.

You have gotten some really good advice, so I won't reiterate what you've already heard. I will predict, however, that you'll not make a single sale unless you provide an address -- not a post office box, but a true, verifiable physical address. These days people can easily see where you are by checking Google's street maps, so it's not that easy to get away with providing a false address. I looked at someone's address the other day who asked a question on this site and it's an empty lot somewhere in Pennsylvania.

Before you spend more time and resources on your venture, I really recommend that you learn the basics about running an e-commerce Web site and about how to develop a proper, professional-looking Web site that looks credible and legitimate.

Right now this site looks like a teenager is running it from her bedroom. There's nothing wrong with that, but you must project yourself as a legitimate operation, which is why I recommend you learn the basics of running a business. Have you thought about the fact that you may have to collect sales tax and the consequences of not doing so? That's just one aspect of going into business.

Be realistic: how many people do you think will send their money to a complete stranger who doesn't provide -- at a minimum -- an address and telephone number where you can be reached in person if necessary?
