Consumer Survey:

Merchandising is mostly done after collecting data from consumer surveys. This is done to target such consumers so that they will purchase certain products or services. The consumers are questioned either personally or by way of questionnaires and they may or may not receive any incentive like coupon or voucher for giving information.
