Marketing Campaign For An E-service

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hi
Im developing an e-service for my Media company and have a great idea for how to launch it, at this point i just have ideas.

I need to propose this campaign to my CEO and i need a format, what elements i should include in it.

1. The launch would be a real live event, the actual to be in one region while other regions will be seeing detailed demonstrations of the service through video conferences in other regions.

2. im also thinking of broadcasting this event as a webinar in major marketing channels.

how should i initially present this idea to my CEO, i want to include PR ideas, advertising etc, and i want massive e-marketing on the same.

do i need to present an initial budget ..

How should i approach this?

thanks in advance for you help

If you're planning on presenting this to your boss and the C-level executives, you need to have all your ducks in a row including ROI, Marketing Communications Strategies, Product Development (including costs), Distribution, Sales Projections and any other outstanding costs (staffing, travel, etc). I would use a product brief to help organize your thoughts and then expand it to include all of the financial information you need.

Your pitch should include marketing ideas, some creative including a mock up of what the product would look like, a sample sales slick and how the campaign would roll out.

Your boss will be looking for benefits, benefits, benefits to the organization, so try to think in those terms. Remember that your product brief needs to include the problem that your product poses to solve, your customers and anticipated target markets, competition, legal or manufacturing constraints, and everyone's favorite topic, budgets.

Rather than doing the full plan/investigation, start by crafting a story (involving many of the elements that Renee mentions) about this event. Squirrel, Inc. (Stephen Denning) gives the tips necessary to craft an influencing story to your audience. The story needs to be compelling to the CEO, and the purpose of the story is to get permission to take the next step of a feasibility study (resulting in storyboard/prototypes).

    Hi,

There is a template I used for a service launch that can be found at https://www.gtms-inc.com/store-templates.htm. It is called the Product Definition and Launch Plan Template on the website, but should truly be called Product and Service Definition Launch Plan. Although it does cost $15, I found it to be well worth it. From what I gathered above, it could be a good starting point for you, as it covers all of the elements to help you demonstrate how effective your new service will be.

    Good luck!
