Know-How Exchange : Other

Hello, I am an aspiring fashion designer. I have so many sketches it's ridiculous. This is where my dilemma comes in, I have been researching for months all about the fashion industry. How much money is in this market, how much consumers have been spending on certain types of clothes and I really feel I have a niche and can make it in this market. I am currently enrolled at a university to broaden my vision and resources but as far as starting my own clothing line, What is the next step? I have been looking for start-up grants but if I found one or got a loan I am not sure even how much I need to start a clothing line. I guess I am in the first phase, I have showed my drawings to close friends and family and everyone thinks it's hot and I got a future but if someone could help me get to the next phase I would greatly appreciate it.
