Pls Help With This Job Description

We are starting to re-structure our marketing and sales department and we need some input on how to write the right job description for a marketing intelligence staff and the statitistics ( Key Performance Indicators ) for the valuable final product of the job to give us some informative progress that he is doing the job successfully and not performing well and need improvement.

    So you need a job description for a Market Researcher. Simply type that into google and there should be plenty of examples.

    I agree that there should be examples readily available if you just Goggle it. However, I'd encourage you to think about a couple things and tweak those position descriptions accordingly.

    1. What is the most important thing YOU need done. If the company needs market data, focus your job descriptions and KPIs there. If you need competitive info, focus it there. If it's day to day sales support...you get the picture. Job descriptions and the like you find on the web should only be used as a starting point.

    2. What experience level are you hiring? If you think you can hire market intelligence staff cheaply, but expect them to perform as though they were highly paid consultants, then you have a mismatch. The job expectations and KPIs should be in line with the level of experience you are paying for. You can grow that experience, to be sure, but don't start out by setting your team up for failure by having unrealistic expectations.
