How To Market/sell It Solutions?

HI FRIENDS,
I HAVE JUST JOINED A SOFTWARE/IT SOLUTION COMPANY AS MANGER INTERNATIONAL MARKETING & SALES. THE COMPANY IS INTO PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & SOFTWARE CONSULTING SERVICES THAT CAN BE CUSTOMISED TO BUSINESS NEEDS. THE SOLUTIONS CAN BE NEW SOFTWARES OR SUPPORT FOR AVAILABLE ERP/CRM SOFTWARES LIKE ORACLE ETC. FOR EUROPEAN, US OR ASIAN MARKETS. SINCE NEW TO THE SECTOR I NEED YOUR HELP? HOW TO ACTUALLY TAP THE MARKETS, CONVINCE AND LIASON. TOOLS AND STRATEGIES? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    Start by looking at your competition in these markets. Where are they advertising? Who are they co-marketing with? Who are their clients? How can you be better than your competitors in their existing market?

    My firm has assisted in similar situations (US domestic).

    The one piece of advice I can offer is individually "product"ize your services.

    Anytime you engage the marketplace with: "we do everything" or " we can provide X,Y,Z,A,B,C, D IF H, and sometimes K" you're destined for poor results. Find and area where you can provide an immediate and necessary impact (cutting cost, improving service, security/compliance) and engage the marketplace with a clear statement as to the value you offer there. As you engage interested parties, you'll be able able to increase the scope of your conversation or grow business organically from closed deals.

    i concur with jay and i would say determine your strenghts and weaknesses then you can know where and how to stand against your competition.
