Begin with the end in mind-- before you design the tactic you need to define the goal. You are working backwards on this.

All marketing efforts are to build exposure, build a brand or build sales. My answer is as general as your question.

These are all very vague - as Carol said, the goals and objectives you set for your marketing strategy should drive the actual iplementation of tactics - not the other way around. It sounds like you are looking to create or boost awareness as an objective.

Assuming that that's the objective, it needs to be very clearly and specifically defined (e.g., among students for the purpose of increasing retention? attracting recruiters from small business for internship/job opportunities in certain industries?) in order for the tactics to be effective.

    Marketing Objectives:

    1. Contest: marketing research, brand positioning, advertising.

    2. exhibition: new prospects, new sells, brand image, test new products.

    3. Newsletter: communication, CRM, database, image

    4. Magazine: advertising, positioning, public relations

    5. Seminar: sells, positioning, CRM, testing products, research, advertising, public relations.

    6. Partnering: quality service, positioning, advertising, new products, advertising.

This is barking – your question pre-supposes that I know what your business is involved in, what it is and to whom it sells. The Objectives to your list could vary in a bizarre fashion, depending on this information. Here’s as quick stab based on what I guess your business to be for each objective you are seeking:

    1) University Contest

Identify via a competition the prettiest student, (Male or female) to sell sex toys

    2) Participating in an exhibition

Gain leads for colonic irrigation centre you are opening up in the bowels of the above University.

    3) Newsletter

To let people know about opportunities to purchase real-estate on Mars.

    4) Magazine advertisement

To sell surplus ex-army munitions which have been banned by the UN (Foreign Magazines Only)

    5) Seminar regarding a solution in which clients will be invited

Paid-for chemistry lesson on how to prepare solutions

    6) Partnering with new companies to certify our products

I agree – mental health organisations can easily organise certification, though it is not so easy to revoke.

Now please come back with some sensible request based on an answerable question.
