What Question Would You Ask?

I'm seeking quality questions that you would ask a successful business founder if you had a chance. Scenario: You have a chance to sit down with the founder of a successful (retailing) business and pick his/her brain. What questions would you ask.

This person sells via the Internet, Catalogs, Display advertisements in magazines and newspapers, direct mail, and infomercials.

This person also manufacturers some of their own products they sell.

What may they know that could help you?

    How many times did you ALMOST "throw in the towel"?

    At what point in your career did you realize that you were "on to something big"?

    How much money do you spend on marketing/advertising/pr right now? 5yrs. ago? 10 yrs. ago? 15 yrs ago?

    How important is "word of mouth" to your company?
