Need Strong Container Store Contact

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
Greetings Prof Colleagues:
I have a new client that has attempted to obtain an audience with Container Store to present her one of a kind, patented product that saves 50% of existing closet space.

They have been getting the run-around for months. They get a "rep" that states, "We're not sure it would be a good fit." Here's the kicker, my client has been on network affiliate-morning show, in the 4th largest US city, female demo...twice. This show has a LIVE audience.

This audience and host are amazed that Container Store reps have made such statements over and over again, and have not given her an opportunity to present her product.

My client has sent CS the names and contact information of over 100 audience members and direct clients that have stated they would purchase from CS, as soon as they begin to stock this item.

It is truly an incredible item for middle to upper-income demographic. It can be used in hotel situations to save closet space.

I need to contact an out of the box thinker in The Container Store operation that knows a good product, and can make a decision....OR any competitor of The Container Store that would like to stock a quality, fast-moving product.

If you know of any other company principals that would like to see the product, we can arrange this. Videos of the segment are available to legitimately interested principals.

Thank you for your input.

I don't have any contacts to share, but some strategy ideas to suggest (if you haven't already):

    * Contact their PR department. You already a media tie-in and need them to run with it.
    * Their website (https://www.containerstore.com/help/) has the following FAQ:
I would like The Container Store to consider my product(s) for possible sale in your retail stores. Whom should I contact?
We are always interested in seeing stylish, innovative storage and organization products. Please send any product and contact information with a photograph or a sample of the product to the following address:

    The Container Store
    Buying Department
    500 Freeport Parkway
    Coppell, TX 75019

    Product samples cannot be returned.

You can also email our buying department at newproducts@containerstore.com.
    * Find out where Kip Tindell (CEO/Chairman) will be speaking, and be there.
    * Finally, why not send Kip a letter directly, explaining your problem. He needs to know that their system isn't working well (from your perspective).

Hi, Randall -- Hope all is well.

While I don't have the contact you're looking for, I did put my thinking cap on for you.

Have you considered directly contacting hotels or architectural companies that target your demographics? They might have the push/resources to get involved in the product.

    Hope this helps you.

Contact me - I may have a lead for you, but before I extend someone and some product I'm unaware of to my friend that works with container store and has for a decade and in the buying department at one point, I need to know more.

You can find my contact info inside the system here.

    Tad
