Direct Marketing Ideas... Come On People...

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi, my company manufactures ceramic wall tiles and i want to run a DM campaign aimed at local authorities, council and local government. The DM campaign will be specifically based around the comodity product, plain white and plain colour tiles so not the fancy types. The main selling points are price (we are cheapest) supply chain (we have exceptional supply chain) and service (we have over 200 sales staff)

It will be delivered through mail/parcel and followed up by sales contact.

I am looking for something different, not just another leaflet or flier, having worked in industry for a few years am slowly running out of ideas.... no matter how wacky.... your views greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

:)

Then I would send them a tile with a silkscreened message. Or send them the first half of a broken tile and a few days later the second hald, including a letter. Then follow up properly. Your key selling (I prefer 'buying') points seem to fit the market.

Definitely send tiles (and make sure they arrive unbroken!) - your package will get opened. It's then up to your copy/offer to get them to act.

If you want a local event, collect your pile of broken tiles and have a stress-buster day for local authorities/government (like this: https://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/10/21/eveningnews/main4537740.shtml)

    Hello,

Many of the government agencies in this neck of the woods require you to be on the bidding list or to be an approved vendor. I would first check and find out the details.

We all now how that bidding process is done!! Its more of who you know or who knows you that counts.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you
    Tom
