Microsoft Share Point Advantages To Our Company

We have two companies, one in the US and the other in India which acts as a back office for the US company. The company deals mailny with software related services. We are about to introduce MS Sharepoint into our company. I want to know what all services can be incorporated to Sharepoint. It would be good if I can know the exact services that run in a company that could be updated with Sharepoint.

    Sharepoint is a fantastic piece of software, but it can also be an anchor around your neck if it isn't handled right. I just witnessed that!

    Make sure that you have a great technical team for implementation, programming, and configuration. They REALLY need to know the ins and outs of Sharepoint, and have some experience with it. Also, don't let them start anything until you have your business users work with a business analyst to clearly articulate what they want it to do.
