Full Multi Channel Marketing Suites???

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Is there anyone here who has experience with companies that offer full-blown Marketing Suite platforms?

I am seeking a list of top solution providers whose software suite not only includes a main asset library and allows for multi channel deployment & tracking (for email, purls, direct mail, etc), but also integrates campaign management, event triggering within their Marketing Suite as well as the ability to integrate unique, dynamic storefronts for a diverse set of individual user groups?

Obviously, the Suite must be fully integrated and
allow for robust, integrated metrics across all channels.

If anyone has any experience or leads, your input will be greatly appreciated.

You might check out this website: www.m4b.com.au

Susan Oakes is one of the principals in the company and they have a pretty good software package that might meet your needs. It's not perfect, but then most solutions are not. This is close though, and it's certainly worth an evaluation.

Don't let the Australian suffix dissuade you. They do a lot of business in the US, and Susan herself has first-hand experience working for US-based companies. Very professional and knowledgeable.

Only six months ago I would have recommended Maximizer Enterprise with a hefty chunk of customisation and additional SQL tables to store relational data, but as they are disinclined to allow me to advocate their software without me paying for the pleasure I’m in no position to say whether it would be the best solution in 2009 or not. I suspect that it is not as robust as it used to be, not as fast and not as flexible.

In fact, if you wish to go for Software as a Service (SaaS) with its attendant low installation and configuration costs (All you need is a browser and to tell them what you want the package to do for you) and the relatively short roll out time, then I would recommend Netsuite. www.netsuite.com.

I attended an experts forum, hosted by Netsuite last week in London and I have come to the conclusion that for an across the board application, it seems to cut the mustard.

If you are interested in sales forecasting as it impacts on cash-flow, purchasing, manufacturing (If you do manufacture!) raw materials in and goods out as well as the more conventional desire to see what your sales people have been doing and what they are forecasting as sales, then I would recommend SymVolli – integrated into Netsuite if necessary to access all the other features you need. In my opinion, SymVolli does sales forecasting better than anything else on the market however, please note: Disclaimer: I have worked with the owners of SymVolli for about 8 years, so I am a tad biased!

As a matter of interest, I’ve reviewed most of the 900 or so clients I have supplied over the last 15 years, some of which I punted off to Siebel, Oracle and SAP and I have concluded that almost all of them could be more economically fulfilled these days using Netsuite and SymVolli for forecasts.

Just in case you were contemplating it, I suspect that SalesForce.com is a bit too light for your application. The core SalesForce product is sound but limited and to obtain the features you seek, you would need to deploy one of their 900 business partner designed modules, which is the best way for BP’s to make real money out of selling SalesForce licences.

I Hope that this is of some use – I’ve consulted in CRM for 15 years now and know most products, so if you have any specific questions, I know my way round most of the software and business practices and processes which are deployed.
