Business Model For High End Technology Products

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello,

I am looking for a business model to sell a Robotics Kit which could cost around US$ 23K per kit to Engineering and Technology colleges in APAC and India to begin with. We are an Indian company.

Any suggestions?

Thanks and regards,
Sunil

What are the merits of your kit?

Often times univ like to do this kind of thing by scratch, partly for the educational experience and partly to save money.

You will need to be able to explain why your kit is better in both of these respects.

If it were me, I would start by researching my competitors. I would begin by identifying similar companies using Google searches and that would build a matrix comparing their various features and capabilities to help me determine how I might create a competitive advantage.

I am not familiar with public companies in India. However, public companies in the United States compile and publish a great deal of business data in their annual reports. See if you can find a company in the United States which is a public company and a potential competitor. You should be able to download a copy of their annual report, which will give you a tremendous fun of information about their business processes, their perception of the market, and their financials.

If I were you, I'd visit my local library and the at least one book on developing business plans and another book on developing a marketing plan and doing a swot analysis.

    Good luck
