Financing Question''s (seeking Advice)

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello,
Currently I have a load of ideas that are very complex, and very well thought out.
However my current situation is that I have very limited assets and am just beginning my journey to find a source of capital financing, now, before I start throwing numbers out or give away any stratagie's, let me say I am very confident in the plans and ideas I speak of, and for several years I have been working maticulously at creating a plan that can make huge impact, an evolution on the technological and digital entertainment industry.
Can anyone suggest a good place to take my ideas that can help me find the needed $1-5 million investment to begin development, and is there a way anyone could suggest to seek out meetings/presentations with potential investors.
(also I am located in Canada, but am open to international endevours)

Thank you for every response

Its a simple idea, but using a few complex stratagies I think it's possable to create a $20+ million dollar profit, within the first month after launch, but the minimum investment mentioned earlyer would cover this project only, for complete success the whole five million is needed so we can target not only the consumers, but the compitition as well.
Anyways thanks alot for your response, i'm going to check out some foundations now, also has anyone heard anything about the GoBig network? If so, does anyone have anything good to say about it?

Unfortunately, it is very hard to get seed money without a little proof that this will work. You may have to start with a scaled down version just to show that your idea will work. If you can start small and get something working you are much more likely to find investors. It is hard for people to invest in an idea. People have ideas all of the time. The key is for the person that has the idea to have the ability to make it happen. The work is in making it happen, not getting the idea. People will invest in those who can make it happen, but they need to have some proof that you are that person.

Ok, thank you for your input, here is what I have to add
The product in question is a extremely unique, and really can only exsist as an idea until further financing is found, I am a capable programmer however, admittadly I cannot code something of this magnatude, I can show how it can be done and that it is completly possable, furthermore I have engineered a basic outline of not only the product, but a ten year plan accounting for the first 1-3 year development phase, I cannot stress enough how well thought out this whole project is, everyone I have had a chance to explain this in detail to agrees the threat is minimal and profit is almost limitless, to make a few loose comparisons, the business would be on the capable level of microsoft after 5 years, and the closest comparison I could make to my product is on the level of adobe photoshop, or discreets 3ds MAX, but even these will me dwarfed by the size of this.
    Excuse my quick typing please,
Additionaly I can show that we target a consumer market of over 25 million, as well as every related company in our industry, I can show that by using my marketing plan, after launch of our main public project (included in the development of the product in question) profit can reach as high if not higher than 500 million, the industry is begging for my ideas to be put into action, and it's only a matter of time before someone realizes this potential for this software, someone with better connections and a really fat pocket, to be fully effective I need to take action, quickly, quietly, and with as much financial support as possable, so where can I start?

thanks everyone who commented, I know where to go, if anyone has any additional advice or oppertunity's, or if i have gained the intrest of a potential investor I urge you to contact me at:
    Projectcore@live.com

Further more I advise anybody in my previous position to follow the instructions in the second post made by Juliet, I had not searched for a foundation who may support me, instead I followed the leads of angel investors as advertised in so many places, the foundation I am in contact with now should be rather benificial, and speed up the already tremendously long process.

    Thanks again Juliet
