How To Notify Customers Of Store Closing

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
What is a good way to notify our current customers that we are closing one of our stores, but that they are still able to shop at another one of our locations? We dont want customers thinking we closed the entire business but only notify that we are consolodating. Would a letter or a postcard be better? or something else?

Depends on your customers. If you're a high-end retailer, I would personalize a letter. If not, a post card is fine.

Thanks. We are a glass company. (auto glass, commercial and residential-vinyl windows, showers, etc). It is easy enough for us to do a letter because we have a pretty extensive data base and is easy to merge.

I would send a postcard. They stand out a little more than a letter and postage is acutally cheaper.
