If you look at your total revenue, the revenue composition is grouping of sources (i.e., segmentation) for your revenue: by company size, by industry, by region, by time of year, etc.

The question is sufficiently vague that it could have several different answers.

My first reaction was to think of the various sources of revenue,or revenue streams, by product line or offering element.

For example, if you have a retail business, you might have a revenue stream from a bricks-and-mortar store, and another revenue stream from an online store.

And if your website contains advertising from non-competing sources (e.g., Google AdSense) that might be another revenue stream.

And if you provide a back-office function for other businesses, and/or have a private-label version of your basic business that you provide for others, those would be additional sources of revenue that you'd want to track separately.

Where did you come across the term and why are you asking? We can be more helpful if you'll provide a little more context for the question.
