Marketing As Storytellers Of The Organization

Posted by doggie1979 on 500 Points
I have been charged with our number one priority this year being to work on the concept of marketing as storytellers of the organization. I want to introduce this concept to my team on Wednesday - does anyone know of any articles, books, resources I can refer to as I am putting together my presentation?

You're a bit short on time. Anyway I would mention :

1.The Leader's Guide to Storytelling: Mastering the Art and Discipline of Business Narrative by Stephen Denning

    2. The Springboard: How Storytelling Ignites Action in Knowledge-Era Organizations (KMCI Press) by Stephen Denning

There is a webinar on marketing profs, https://www.marketingprofs.com/marketing/online-seminars/108 I haven't done it, but it may be what you are looking for.

Here is something from Seth Godin, https://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2006/04/ode_how_to_tell.html

    Hope these help.

Quick! Get a copy of Seth Godin's All Marketers are Liars. You might even want to give a copy to everyone in the meeting.

It's not necessarily his best book, but it's certainly relevant to your situation.
