We have been in the process of working with them for months now. I sunk about $25k into inventory to be ready for any order they might make. They are supposed to order this week, probably tomorrow.
I am now getting very nervous about it. Are there any other vendors or people here who have experience with target.com?
They seem really picky about everything being perfect. If my first transaction with them does not go well then will they drop me?
What is a normal first order for them? My rep said a case (of 24) of each size in each style they like. We presented them with 10 styles, 3 sizes each.
Is there anything I can do after they order to help with our sales? I saw here https://www.marketingprofs.com/ea/qst_question.asp?qstid=24759 some suggestions.
Would it be good to direct google adwords to them? Adwords are pretty expensive.
Should I go on all my forums and ask people to spread the word for others to buy my product there? Should I ask them to leave reviews?
Should I send out a email to my customer email list letting them know about the new products I have on TDC?
Any help is great. I know I will find out soon enough, but it is hard not knowing if this is going to be a one time, $5,000 transaction or an ongoing $20k transaction. I have no idea what their sales compare to as far as other stores.
Thanks again in advance.
