Transitioning Marketing Roles & Responsibilities

Posted by lisa.x.fossritte on 250 Points
The dilemma is not a new one. Our company is completing a marketing transformation and revising roles and responsibilities from corporate to local - and vice versa -- local to corporate. Some of our marketing programs will become templated to execute at the local level.

I am looking for a sample of an instructional 'how to" guide to help local operators execute a templated marketing program -that offers a timeline and steps to execute a program, etc.

I'm a little skeptical that there is a "how-to guide" that will really help you. I think you're going to need to create one from scratch -- especially in your industry, where you may be the first company to do something like this on a grand scale.

It will be time-consuming, but it won't be overwhelming intellectually. You know what you're doing today and you know where you want to end up. You simply have to identify the key steps/milestones in the transition, lay them out on a timetable and write the instructions for each major step. (You may want to outsource some of this if you're already overloaded.)
