Know-How Exchange : Strategy

We're guiding a client through this process now. There are a number of next steps that can all happen in conjunction with each other. First, protect yourself legally. Anyone involved should be signing an NDA. Then, develop your business and marketing plans. Figure out what problems the product solves, who will buy it, where they live/work, how much you will sell it for, where you will sell it, etc. You'll need to create an identity AT LEAST for the product, and probably for your company that is creating the product. You'll need a place to show the public information (brochure, web site), and a way to get them there (advertising, social media, direct marketing). Then you'll need to figure out how much of the product you'll need initially, and work with the company that is making the item. And of course you'll need to secure funding for all of the above (which happens around the business plan time... ) Hope this helps!
