Arranging Clothing In Retail Femal Store

If there are any people familar with retail stores that cater to females ranging from 18-30 or females themself who love shopping at this places, would you please let me know do you think its better to arrange the clothing on the racks according to Designs or Colours?

    First, I would tap your reps. They probably have a suggested planogram for their product that they're spent a lot of time and money for. Second, I think the trend is a combo. I am thinking BeBe -- you walk in and all clothing is arranged by color, with some exceptions. Jeans are featured on their own (with suggestions of tops), Sweats are in a separate section (by color) and evening wear is in the rear.

    I would go for Color also, this is how it has been done in my part of the world for the past couple of years

    Thanks, because once i arranged following designs it looked much more neater, now its back to colours. But it looks a little messy, can you guide me more how should the colours be arranged. COlours>Tops then dresseS? Or mix tops and dresses together?

    I think for neatness sake, tops, skirts then dresses.

    Should it be same colour TOPS SKIRTS AND DRESSES on the same rack? Or they be at different racks, like red pink green tops on 1 rack, red pink green dresses on another rack?
