Best qualification a person could have to work in a business? Depends on the business. Most general high level qualification for working in a business would be an MBA. But that is not the best in all cases.

Best qualification for a business to get (not a person) - this depends on where the business is and what they do.

There may not be a single "best." It may be a combination.

Smart, hard-working, committed, creative, experienced ...

All of these things come to mind ... and there are probably a few others.

Before leaving home, your checklist should be expanded to include business cards, as part of "do I have my wallet/money, house keys, driver's license'" Any 'per chance' meeting is an opportunity to give out a business card. A morning run or a quick trip to the local store could be an opportunity to network. My wife and I always ask each other 'do you have business cards', before leaving the house.
