Know-How Exchange : Other

I am a graphic designer for a retail girls clothing chain. It's a constant struggle to figure out what the look/trend should be for each window set.
Usually we have a big picture presentation where Merchandising shows us several photos they have pulled from online or out of magazines that shows us the general theme for the next photoshoot such as Summer will be California Hippy and Brights. But then one week before the actual photo shoot we see the outfits we will be using and it's such a dummed down version of each trend I find we have to adjust and rethink things. I always struggle with finding out what is trending for graphics, props, instore signage etc.
Is there a website, magazine, company etc that can help with that?
