Marketing For Feb Event W/heart Assoc With Retail

Posted by Paticake41 on 250 Points
I own a small ladies retail boutique and am working on a marketing plan for the calendar year. During the month of February, I would like to do something that would be honoring to the Heart Assoc. (they promote the color red) and that would bring ladies into the store to participate, and still shop with me. Remember, my boutique is small, but upscale...and yet we are all in a recessed economy. I need a real eye catcher please.

Are you looking to raise money or awareness for the heart association?

YES! I would like to use this event to raise money for the heart associaton...giving a donation through a retail event is great for both my business and the heart association. The American Heart Association is an important charity to me.

Why not double-up and make it about "love" (Love yourself. Love your heart. Love your life. Love your partner.) since Feb is also Valentine's Day?

You can contact your local Hear Association to solicit
    POS material and support.

You can turn this into an annual "giving of the hearts", where all proceeds are donated to the charity.

You could create an event where you donate x% of every red clothing or accessory item sold to the Heart Foundation. You could perhaps also perhaps purchase some elegant heart brooches or necklaces, where a portion of the proceeds also go to the Heart Foundation. Get the Heart Foundation involved-they may do a mailing/email for you to their donor/prospect list promoting your event. Perhaps you could have a special offer for top donors, where you could do a fashion makeover for those who book appointments in advance. I would definitely get them to partner with you and support you in your support of their worthy cause!
This could definitely be tied into Valentines Day as well.
