Data Matching Software

Looking for some advice on purchasing data matching software. We're a relatively small organization that does a lot of mailings ranging from very small (a few 100 pieces) to mid-sized (a few 100,000). I can be working with several lists from a variety of sources which tend to have a very high cross-over rate (so I prefer to match before sending them to the mailhouse).
Does anyone know of a reliable product that conducts fuzzy matching well. Is there a product that you've had success with in the past? Thanks.

    Fuzzydupes works well for me. Google it to find.

    If you want exact matches on email addresses you could load all lists into Excel or OpenOffice Calc into a single sheet, line up the email addresses and other relevant fields. Then you make a pivot table with the email addresses in the left column (and a count for instance as pivot column). Just cut-and-paste the left column and you have de-duplicated email addresses.
