Need Help Generating Leads For Debt Relief.

Sorry everyone... I inadvertently closed this question after just one reply so I've re-posted using the rest of my points. Yikes! I hope you don't throw me off this site. :-)

I need to generate leads among people who have delinquent credit so we can help them negotiate their debt down. This helps the consumer get out of debt and helps the banks avoid massive losses.

I have pretty good data from Experian of people who fit the profile. So we're considering targeted direct mail... offering immediate help if they call an 800#. Or we are considering offering free information and directing prospects to log into a purl. Also we are looking at radio and late night TV but those vehicles seem less targeted and highly saturated with this type of marketing already.

Thoughts about targeting and messaging strategy?

There are many illegitimate businesses in your industry taking advantage of the economic situation. An important message strategy will be to prove that you are a legal, reputable company (assuming you are). Late night TV ads smack to me of not being reputable.

I think consultative marketing could work. Produce an informational newsletter, get some PR or recommendations from finance/real estate bloggers, maybe put on a workshop. Maybe some videos too. If you can improve your SEO, I'm sure there are a lot of people searching on "debt relief" and related terms.

As for targeting, people whose outstanding home loan amounts exceed their home values, or people who have Alt-A loans are probably where your audience is, if you're looking for people in the pre-foreclosure state.

    Hope that helps...
