Joint Download

Hi,

Question again. Can i know how a 'joint download' works and do you think it will worth and works?

I have a small project now, if it success, it is good for me. My company is giving me to handle a small project.

Details about my company. We are a telecommunication company giving out features like IM, calls, etc. Something like skype.
Another company i find out is a anti virus company which will doing a joint download with us.

I manage to get another company to deal with us by doing joint download. Anyone can help me on this like how to make it perfect. Please..

    Can you describe what the user will experience when they attempt a joint download (what they have to enter, what they will receive, etc.)?

    Hi,

    The users will see the 2 application. IM application and the antivirus software. They can actually choose either one or both to download.

    It can work if both companies are targeting similar groups of people with similar needs (or somehow creating synergy). Otherwise, you're both sending prospects to the same webpage and confusing them.

    Before you start, define what success will look like for you. More traffic? Equal #s of downloads for both apps? Opt-ins? Sales?
