High End Denim Distributor

I'm looking to start a high end denim boutique. The boutique will specialize in premium denim. True Religion, 7 for all mankind, citizens of humanity - you get the idea. I need to locate a distributor and determine the appropriate amount of inventory. The store will be around 1000 square feet.

    Do you have a business plan? A marketing plan? If not, you probaby ought to start with those. Finding suppliers isn't usually the first step. Start with a good understanding of your customers, what they need that they are not getting now, how you can differentiate yourself from competition, etc.

    Think through your positioning and your marketing plan. When you get those right, the suppliers will be much more interested in selling to you.

    It also depends, of course, on where you are and who your primary target audience is. We don't even know what country you are in or what city your store will be in! (Or even which continent!)

    Are you an experienced clothing retailer? Have you spoken with people who have done what you're thinking of doing? There are plenty of buyers who know the inventory requirements. That's not a marketing issue.
