Bulk Emailing Program

Please let me know which program is a good one to use to send out bulk emails - all my information is in excel at this stage so I must be able to export it into the bulk email program.

I use Aweber www.aweber.com and I highly recommend it.

The only reservation I have about Aweber is that it appears to be used by every get-rich-quick merchant, “Information Marketer” and “Internet Marketing” shyster on the planet. As a consequence, If you are aiming for b2b businesses, you might find your emails blocked. Same goes for b2c marketing where the ISP has blacklisted the domain of the sender. This is perhaps unfair on Aweber as their offering is quite useful, but they do seem to actively court that type of business.

Do you want a hosted service or one which you can run from your own PC or network?

Depending on the answer, I can probably make a few recommendations from the stable of CRM systems we work with and on. What is your line of business for example?

Jay – that was an answer to a totally different question – what was sought was an HTML editor suitable for composing emails for broadcast.

This question appears to be more about the means of sending the emails – i.e. database to store the emails, template to merge any personal information into and presumably some means of monitoring and analysing the responses.

A basic CRM system would do this guys job and Dreamweaver wouldn’t.
