Biz Stone

Has anyone received an eMail from "BIZ STONE" Co-Founder of "TWITTER", with three links to the "New Service Conditions"?

I don't know who/what to believe. Why would I get a "direct" notation about new terms on GMail, rather than my TWITTER account? Certainly "Biz" could come up with 140 characters informing us to go to: somewhere on TWITTER, huh?

Hey, everyone...I truly hope y'all had a great summer, and are looking ahead to a wonderful rest of the year.

    Dear Randall,

Biz Stone is indeed the co-founder of Twitter, along with a few other things.

Did you set up your Twitter account through your Gmail account? If so, that's why they're letting you know through Gmail.

As to what it's all about, well, I think paid services are on their way. If this puts a solid halt to all the spam crap on Twitter, then bring it on! I've yet to hear (or read) about this in greater detail, but I hope this helps.

    Hey Randall,

Yes, I received the same email, here's how it finished:

"These updates complement the spirit of Twitter. If the nature of our service changes, we'll revisit the Terms as necessary. Comments are welcome, please find the "feedback" link on the Terms of Service page.

    Thanks,
    Biz Stone, Co-founder
    Twitter, Inc."

    Very curious,

    Steve

Yeah, I received it too ... but I didn't bother to check to see what's new and different. It seemed a little strange to get an email message from Twitter, but it appeared legitimate. I agree that a Twitter message might have been more appropriate, but perhaps they felt it was not appropriate at all to deliver a tweet from someone you are not following. Could look more like Twitspam.
