Idea For A Cover Page

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hello, I'm launching a health care magazine and pondering various ideas on what to put on the cover page. The intent of the magazine is to educate readers on variety of health topics. The first issue will cover specifically the following:
# Atrial fibrillation
# Seizures
# Back pain
# Heartburn
# How to maximize time with your doctor

Do you guys have any catchy cover ideas for this type of publication?
Couple that I had are a doctor pointing at a clock, navigation device( thinking along the lines of let us navigate you through your health)

(Aside: I'm assuming that the target audience are patients and that the magazine will not be in a doctor's waiting room. )

I wouldn't put images of clocks or navigation on the cover. You want people to read the magazine to be healthy. So show your target audience (age, race, gender) doing fun things (or at least smiling) since that's how your audience wants to feel. Perhaps your table of contents could be graphical - highlight the various affected organs that you discuss in the issue, with a call out to the title/page #.

could you share with mewhy you assumed that, especially the second part because actually we want to make it available in the waiting rooms. Perhaps you have some insights on ventures like this one?

Also, thanks for the input on the cover. I'm coming to conclusion that a person on the cover is probably the best thing to go with.
