Introducing A Medical Device As B2b In Canada

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi, I need to figure out a marketing strategy for introducing a new company to the Canadian market for dialysis filters. The process is by tender, and brand awareness is high in Europe but none here. Help!

The strategy is called research the market, brand and position the product and advertise like hell.

I would think the first step would be to make sure the products are approved for use in Canada. Probably some CSA approval required.

Next step would be to research who is buying these filters now, and how the companies that sell these products go to market (what channels are used).

You then need to break into these channels.

I am guessing that it is hospitals and dialysis sites that use the filters. So, if they buy then direct from manufacturers, then you need to start marketing to all these sites. If they buy from a wholesaler, then you need to get signed up with wholesalers who would promote your product.
