Apartment Resident Welcome Gift

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I'm putting together a resident package together for a new apartment building that is newly open for leasing. I went around town and got a variety of memberships to different businesses in the area. I want to make this package attractive to other potential renters and I need a little direction in doing that. 23 luxury units in a downtown city that is not familiar with city living and it's been difficult to get serious interest for renters.

How did you decide that the resident package is the right incentive for your luxury units? Somehow it seems like this "resident package" might cheapen the image of your building ... like you have to bribe people to pay as much as you're asking.

Usually, for luxury purchases, what you want is amenities in the building ... the clubhouse room, office services, high-tech security stuff, really sharp doormen, etc.

I'm also not sure what you mean by "memberships" to different businesses, or why the units/residents "is not familiar with city living." Maybe you can explain a little further. What country? Why were these units built in this neighborhood if someone "is not familiar with city living?" Maybe THAT is the problem. (If so, a resident package isn't going to help much.)

"...a downtown city that is not familiar with city living"

Definitely need to unpack THAT statement for us before anyone can be of much help...

Is this a welcome gift for people who have rented and are moving in? Or a welcome gift to people kicking the tires about living there?

Sounds like the problem you have is getting people to consider living there, so the focus should be on something that gets people to come and check out the apartments. Once they have signed the lease, a small welcome gift would always be nice, but probably isn't going to do anything to close more business (you already did that).
