Promoting A Meditation Cd

We Produced a meditation cd for a client (www.positivevibes.ca) click on the picture at the bottom of the home page for more information. We are offering cd copies as well as digital downloads. What are some great sales/promotions ideas to help us reach our goal of selling 1,500 cd's?

Things we have done so far are the following: web site, e-newsletter, cd tour, merchant program to entice local stores and wellness center's to sell them. Any other ideas?

    With every purchase, donate a CD for a group that would benefit from receiving it (inner city, abused women, etc.).

    Offer online samples for online listening.

    Testimonials from people who've used it and dramatically changed their life as a result.

    Consider offering one of the tracks as a free download or producing an additional track as a free download. Perhaps a 5-minute meditation for the harried worker? Free drives (with the right marketing to back up the offer) web traffic, trial, and eventually sales. You'd definitely need to create a page on the site that's dedicated to the cd and with direct links to that page.

    Don't waste time trying to sell the CD's - GET IT INTO THE APPLE ISTORE ASAP.

    You can potentially make many thousand sof downlaods for people to listen to this in their Ipods and other MP3 player devices.

    Trust me -

    CD's are the Wrong channel to distribute this.

    Keep them as promotional tools only but don't waste time trying to sell them.

    Apple Istore is the number 1 place.

    Then hit all the other online download stations.

    Problems with the CD.

    replication costs - printing and packaging costs - shipping distribution costs - returns for damages - Up front capex cost - INventory cost - cost cosat cost cost.

    Problems with Istore downlaod business -

    ?? err! can't thinkl of any ??

    We launched a simple app on the Istore 2 months ago. NO promotion, no advertising, jjust put it in the store.

    36,000 downlaods in the first month :))))

    Just becuase it is there and people are curios and they don't mind spending 99 cents.

    GO GO GO APPLE ISTORE.
