Promotional Idea For Jewelry Show

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am trying to get some ideas for our next seasons jewelry exhibitions. I was thinking as to how to get more people to come to our shows. We have already been doing a free gift for an year now so was thinking of something different than a gift or a discount coupon. Ours is a very niche market so want to do something very unusual and appealing. Does anyone have any ideas????

    Dear Shalini,

    Your pieces are beautiful.

An idea that jumps to mind is to make portions of your shows “special events.” (Please forgive me if you are already including these items.) Consider hosting a fashion show to highlight your jewelry with fashions from purveyors local to the cities/regions, engage local artists to provide complimentary henna tattoos, and/or consider including a ladies’ tea once or twice each day of the shows. You can turn the shows into special outings for mothers and daughters, or groups of “girlfriends.”

This proposal would be much more work than a discount or gift, but might pull the additional attendance you are seeking. On the plus side, these tactics would encourage the participating local merchants and artists to promote your shows to their loyal clients.

Please know I put this forth from a strictly US perspective.

    Best of luck to you,
    Margaret
