Freight Exchange Website Marketing Strategy

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello,
I've just started a new Freight Exchange website, but for my incompetence in marketing, I'm not able to target potential customers to my website.

I am here to ask an help or advice on what marketing strategy could I take to effectively penetrate the market.

If you want to look at my site, be aware of what is, you can see it at heytruck.com

Any advice is welcome!
Thanks a lot

    Who are your potential customers?

    Dear dast78,

Promote yourself as the logical, "go to" person of authority.

You do this by claiming expert status. Wait around for someone to appoint you and you'll have a long wait. Take the high ground and defend the crap out of it.

Use forums, blogs, video, audio, and as many other sources as possible to get your name, opinion, and benefits out into the market.
Set up a blog on transport and post links on it to other transport-related sites that your customers will be interested in.

Encourage people to sign up to receive regular updates to your blog (updates you'll make on a twice weekly basis), and then use e-mail marketing to send them details of special offers and one time bonuses. All this helps you build your list and gains you much needed search engine visibility.

Then, once you've built your list, use the power of your content and your list to approach major players and invite them to do a webinar, at the end of which you pitch their products.

You'll have already set up an affiliate arrangement with this person form which you'll generate revenue on sales of their product. You then approach another company and do the same thing—each time you'll be building your list and creating extra value.

Use video on your site. make the videos short and compelling.
Use your URL as an identifier at the end of every video and also distribute your videos to other sites via www.tubemogul.com.

Buy a second domain for your company with the .tv domain name
and post your videos there as well. Link this site to your main site
    and integrations builds momentum.

Video is beginning to rank far higher than text so jump on this NOW
and you'll be ahead of the curve. WAY AHEAD.

I howe this helps. Good luck to you.

    Start by reading: https://websitegrader.com/site/www.heytruck.com

The 2 major things I noticed was:

    1) your website was created with a lot of images, but not a lot of text. That means search engines won't be able to read most of your home page.

    2) The website is targeting the EU, yet that's not blindingly obvious on the home page.

(Aside: you have a typo "Pubblicated" - did you mean "Published"?)
