How Do I Revamp Our Brand

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
hank you for your response. I need to explain further that we were thinking along the lines of changing simple things like the logo, the company colours from blue and silver to a more law oriented colour like purple: also thinking of a very good and appropriate slogan or by line for the 10th year... our current slogan says ROBING RIGHT ROBING WELL, its sometimes read differently. could you please tell us how we can improve on our current brand name LEGALCITY to reflect both our decade of existence and what we do. Also is it okay to change our colours, bags, interiors to reflect a more positive and vibrant store... not necessarily to change our brand name. Thank you

It's fine to evolve your branding, especially to celebrate an anniversary event. It'll give you something new to talk about in your marketing. As for a tagline, consider something like: "Africa's Legal Robe Leader"

Thank you for the suggestions. I appreciate the tagline providing the finest robes..... I will look into it.

As regards the Posting by Jay is it okay to say we are Africals legal robe leader? reason being that whilst we are seriously considering these new markets, we are still only in one country.

Is it also okay to use some latin maxims in our tagline?

    Many thanks

I think there's a major problem with the existing tagline ROBING RIGHT ROBING WELL.

Read hastily it could be perceived to say ROBBING RIGHT ROBBING WELL!

And you can be sure if you have one dissatisfied customer that's exactly the interpretation they will put on the tagline.

As for a Latin maxim, my Latin is very rusty but perhaps someone might be able to say whether "Proprie indutus pro fora iuris" is a good translation for "properly dressed for the law courts". The question, though, regardless of their legal training, is how much of your market would understand Latin other than the common legal quotes?

I absolutely agree with you that there is a problem with our tag line and i assure you that it will be changed as soon as possible. I intend to use our 10th year as the catalyst for the change. which is why i am still on the look out for an appropriate tag line.

i have had quite a few suggestions and i am looking at them, but it seems we have used both the ones suggested in our early years.

The Latin maxim quoted above looks appropriate and i am thinking of using it for one of our newspaper adverts.

I am thinking that we use the maxim and its interpretation at the same time. It may whip up some nostalgia among the older lawyers.

Can we then continue using it for a long while.

    Many thanks
